General Electric sales, profits fall in Q2


(MENAFN) After General Electric Co had posted 59% fall in Q2 profits and put off expected cut to 2018 earnings target until November, its shares declined sharply on Friday.

As the new CEO is in his job for four months, power plant"s maker said its sales and profits declines largely and was affected by the sale of its appliances business.

Also, GE said it will update its 2018 earnings target of USD2 a share in November, later than analysts had expected.
