Ford to avoid recall of 2.5 mln defective cars in US
(MENAFN) US regulator said that Ford Motor Co. will request to avoid recall for 2.5 million vehicles with Takata due to air-bag inflators, which was reported defective last week.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Nissan Motor Co will recall 515,394 Versa cars after Takata stated 2.7 million vehicles to have defective inflators.
However, Ford spokesman John Cangany said that the automaker will file a petition requesting "to continue testing and analyzing our inflators."
