(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) LANDIKOTAL, 22 July: The doctors of Agency Headquarters Hospital Landikotal, Khyber Agency, have ended their six-day long protest against excessive power load-shedding in the hospital after successful negotiations with former federal minister Pir Noorul Haq Qadri.

Pir Noorul Haq Qadri held a meeting with Medical Superintendent Dr Rafique and other doctors at the hospital on Friday. The protesting doctors informed the former minister about their problems. They said doctors in FATA perform their duties under very tough circumstances. They said patients from the whole Khyber Agency and even Afghanistan visit Landikotal Hospital. They said Tribal Electric Supply Company (TESCO) carries out 12 to 18 hours load-shedding in the hospital which has made the lives of doctors, patients and other visitors very difficult. They said vaccines for polio and other dangerous diseases may expire in the hospital due to prolonged load-shedding.

Pir Noorul Haq Qadri assured the doctors that he will discuss this issue with Prime Minister's Adviser Amir Muqam and TESCO high ups. After assurance of the former minister, the doctors agreed to end their protest.
