Saudi national carrier ends laptop ban on U.S. flights


(MENAFN) A ban on laptops and other elect devices from the cabins of direct flights to the U.S. from Riyadh, KSA has been lifted, the last of 10 airports impacted by the rules.

In March, the U.S. imposed rules on passengers carrying laptops and other huge elect gear in cabins on flights from certain airports in the MENA region.

Moreover, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has inspected and cleared flights from Riyadh's King Khalid Intl Airport and Jeddah's King Abdulaziz Intl Airport from the ban.

Accordingly, the restrictions had been lifted on Riyadh airport and proclaimed it meant that all 10 airports affected by the ban had been exempted.
