Libya aims to produce 1.25mn bpd oil output


(MENAFN) Libya is eyeing to generate 1.25mn barrels per day by the end of this year and 1.5mn bpd by the end of the coming year.

Furthermore, the country hopes to reach output of 2.1mn bpd in four or five years, while the targets emphasized are in line with previously stated production goals.

Recently, Libya's national production has reached more than 1mn bpd, up from lows of almost 250.000 bpd a year ago.

However, it was not clear if the number involved increases at NOC subsidiary Waha Oil Co., which raised its production to 145.000 bpd.
