Legend and Cracker's Friends
Education 4 Everyone (registered charity 1172424) is developing plans to open an Educational Equestrian Centre to teach lifelong transferable skils to children and young people with special needs and disabilities through contact with horses. We will do this by providing opportunities for children and young people to ride and spent time with horses. We would like to expand the services so we can provide cart rides for those children and young peope who may not wish to ride.
But there's a problemWe have two horses (Lengend and Cracker - shown in the photo below) who are currently being trained in order to provide riding for chidren and young people. However, they are not suitable driving horses for pulling carts and are therefore looking for some friends to join them on our adventure.
Here's what we're doing about it
We have found two horses with exceptional behaviour who would make ideal cart horses. One of the horses (Daisy - shown in photo below) is already trained and would be able to pull carts from day one. The other horse, a 2 year old mare, will be broken in to ride and drive as well as a respite horse that will be trained by our own staff. We plan to post progress of this training on our social media accounts. In addition, we have found a suitable cart which both these horses could drive.
How you can help usIn order for the charity to aquire both the horses, the cart and the necessary driving harness and transport them to our training facility we need to raise £1,500. The option to purhase the horses and cart is only available for a short period of time as the field the horses are currently in has been sold for housing development.
