Joblessness rate in Turkey drops to 10.5%


(MENAFN) Official data reported that Turkey's unemployment rate has decreased to reach 10.5% in the April.

Moreover, data also revealed the jobless rate had accounted for 11.7% in the February-April time.

Turkish Statistics Institute stated the non-agricultural unemployment rate hit 12.4% on average during the April period, marking a jump compared with 11.1% in 2016.

However, data underlined youth joblessness rate surged to hit 19.8% in comparison with 16% in the preceding year.
