Emirates, flydubai to boost ties with code share pact

(MENAFN) Emirates, Mideast's largest airline and budget carrier flydubai are increasing their commercial tie to make a joined fleet of 380 jets flying to 240 destinations by 2022.

Accordingly, both sides expanded tie would be rolled out over the coming months, kicking off with an enhanced code share agreement in the fourth quarter.

However, Emirates' annual revenue fell in the year ended March 31 for the first time in five years and flydubai's revenue dropped for a second consecutive year in 2016.

Meanwhile, the new partnership will involve mutual network planning, coordinated schedules and the frequent flyer programs will be aligned amid both airlines.
