Qatar- Traders to import motor spare parts from Oman

Local traders are looking forward to importing motor spare parts from Oman in order to ensure smooth supply of materials for vehicles.
Speaking to The Peninsula, the traders said that they gave priority to Oman market because it could be more efficient compared to other international markets as it is a GCC country and closer to Qatar.
Qatari traders with offices in Oman have shifted their business from Dubai and Saudi Arabia to this new business destination and are expecting new stocks of spare parts from there soon, the traders said.
'My company has office with big business hub in Oman and other GCC countries, so we have already shifted our business from Dubai to Oman, said manager of a spare part shop operating at Wakalat road, Industrial Area. The manager also said that the company is in a process to import a big consignment of motor spare parts from Oman and it is expected to arrive in Qatar soon.
Speaking about the availability of spare parts the manager said, 'So far we have enough stock to run our business. Many traders have started approaching to new markets to ensure the supply of spare parts in local markets. We hope that the new stock will arrive soon, he said.
Omani traders have started visiting spare part shops and the headquarters of their companies are looking for business, said the traders. 'Recently, a representative of an Omani based trading company came to my shop seeking business, said Abdurrahman, salesman at a spare part shop. 'The visiting person gave me his business card and offered to provide spare parts from Oman.
Speaking on the availability of spare parts in local markets after blockade, mechanics and motorists said that different spare parts including tejari, genuine and original are still available in the markets.
'I wanted to buy some body parts for my car and I saw various varieties with dealers and various shops selling different brands, said Abu Ahmad, a motorist from Yemeni. 'I opted the tejari one because it was cheaper, he added.
'I could not notice much impact of blockade on the supply of spare parts in local markets. I am very hopeful that traders in Qatar will be able to find new markets for importing spare parts, he added.
