AMMAN —AlGhad— According to the media office of the Public Security Directorate (PSD), a special Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) task team intercepted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics to a neighbouring country. The Anti-Narcotics team has been investigating and tracing suspects for a while, which led them straight to the freight.
A freight truck was intercepted in Amman, and hidden within it were nearly 140 thousand narcotic pills, the statement said.
The suspects have been detained and are being processed to stand trial.
