(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, July 16 (KUNA) -- The Chief of Staff of the Egyptian armed forces Lt-Gen Mahmoud Hijazi emphasized on Sunday the importance of boosting coordination between his country and the US to support security and stability in the Middle East, and to counter terrorism.
These remarks came during the meeting between Hijazi and US Army Central Commanding General Lt Gen Michael Garrett, a statement by Egyptian armed forces said.
Garett expressed his aspirations towards boosting joint work with Egypt at all levels to better serve the mutual interests of both nations.
Both sides also tackled means to enhance military cooperation. (end) hdr.lb
