India's trade deficit in June decreases to USD13bln


(MENAFN) India's government data showed that trade deficit was narrowed more than expected to USD12.96bln in June while gold imports were declined by half comparing to the previous month.

Experts confirmed that trade deficit will decline to USD12.5bln in June comparing to USD13.84bln posted in the previous month.

Also, gold imports fell to USD2.45bln from USD5bln a month ago.

However, exports of goods in June posted USD23.56bln, up 4.39% from a year earlier, while goods imports were USD36.52bln, up 19.01% from the previous year.
