Samangan revenue increases by 18pc


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) AIBAK (Pajhwok): The revenue of central Samangan province has increased by 18 percent during the first six months of the ongoing year compared to the corresponding period the previous year, an official said on Thursday.

Mohammad Daud Kalaqyar, customs and revenue department head, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Ministry of Finance had set them 86.2 million afghanis target for the first six months of the year.

Though the target was missed, but the revenue collected so far indicated an 18 percent increase over previous year€™s returns, he said they collected about 75 million afghanis revenue during the period.

Kalaqyar mentioned increased efforts at enforcing the law a main reason behind the surge in revenue.

According to Khalaqyar, the MoF has set 172.4 million afghanis income target of the province for the ongoing year.
