Almost 300 refugees back to Syria from Lebanon border camps


(MENAFN) Around 300 refugees returned to their hometown in Syria from northeast Lebanon, where tensions have been following army raids and suicide attacks on camps.

Meanwhile, Lebanon is home to more than 1mn refugees fleeing the six-year conflict in Syria, while Lebanese ministers proclaimed they must go home to safe territory.

Additionally, refugees returned under a deal discussed by Syrian rebels in the camps and Lebanese group Hezbollah, which is fighting in Syria on behalf al-Assad's government

"They included armed fighters and civilians, and left in two waves from camps around Arsal to the town of Assal al-Ward in Syria," proclaimed a source.
