(MENAFN) VIVA Bahrain, a pioneering telecom operator in the kingdom, will start installing the identity of its customers in compliance with the Telecom Regulatory Authority's regulation.
Moreover, the regulation, named "Sim-Card Enabled Telecoms Services Registration Regulation" was issued on Dec 27, 2015.
Meanwhile, VIVA Bahrain will start, from July 12, catching the identity of its new customers electronically by verifying their fingerprint amid the registration process.
In addition, the new registration process is in defiance with TRA's regulation, which is mandatory for all telecom operators providing SIM-card enabled telecoms services in Bahrain.
