Pakistan- Peshawar Zalmi Foundation distributes stippled among 26 cricketers


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 11 July: The Peshawar Zalmi Foundation on Monday distributed stipend among 26 cricketers selected during the talent hunt programme.

A ceremony in this regard a ceremony was organised at a local hotel in Peshawar which was attended by Peshawar Zalmi Head Coach Muhammad Akram, fast bowler Junaid Khan, former Test cricketer Arshad Khan and young cricketers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA. On the occasion, Rs60,000 each were distributed among 26 players of Pakistan-A team and Under-19 team.

Muhammad Akram said while talking to media that 100 cricket pitches will be constructed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for which Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi has approved budget.

Cricketers in the ceremony thanked Peshawar Zalmi Foundation for their encouragement and said they learned a lot in the training camp.

Sanaullah, a fast bowler hailing from Swabi, told TNN that he is very thankful to Javed Afridi to travel such a long distance to conduct our trials.

'Now he has given Rs60,000 each to cricketers which is a very encouraging step. I will further increase my hard work to improve my game,' he said.
