FM receives chief prosecutor of ICC


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met the visiting Chief
Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Fatou Bensouda in Doha yesterday. Talks dealt with the regional developments, especially in Syria and Libya. The Foreign Minister briefed the ICC chief prosecutor on the latest developments related to the Gulf crisis and the illegal measures taken against Qatar. The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court expressed regret over the human rights violations relating to international law and international humanitarian law arising from the siege. She praised the manner in which Qatar has managed the crisis, expressing admiration for the Qatar's role, describing it as the right approach in dealing with such crises. Moreover, the ICC chief prosecutor expressed her gratitude for the support provided by Qatar to the International Criminal Court.
