(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued the following decrees:
1.Decree No 39 of 2017 ratifying a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-operate in the fields of desalination of seawater and sewage water treatment and their reuse between the governments of Qatar and Cyprus signed in Doha on 27/01/ 2014.
2. Decree No 40 of 2017, ratifying an agreement between the governments of Qatar and Panama for avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and its annexed protocol signed in New York on 23/09/2010.
3. Decree No 41 of 2017, ratifying an agreement establishing a Joint Economic, Trade, and Technical Committee between the governments of Qatar and Azerbaijan, signed in Baku on 08/03/2016.
4. Decree No 42 of 2017, ratifying an MoU to co-operate in the financial policy and budgeting affairs fields, between the Ministries of Finance in Qatar and Azerbaijan, signed in Baku on 08/03/2016.
The MoUs and agreements shall have the power of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution.
The decrees stipulate that they shall be effective starting from their date of issue and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
Emir ratifies Cabinet decisions
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday ratified the following Cabinet decision:
1. Cabinet decision No 25 of 2017 expropriating certain real property for the public benefit.
2. Cabinet's decision No 24 of 2017 expropriating certain real property for the public benefit.
Instruments of ratification
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued the following instruments of ratification:
1. Approving a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for co-operation in the field of health between the governments of Qatar and the Philippines signed in Doha on 16/04/2017.
2. Approving a draft MoU for co-operation in the field of culture between the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Qatar and the National Committee for Culture and Arts in the Philippines signed in Doha on 16/04/2017.
3. Approving a draft MoU between Qatar Central Bank (QCB) and Bank of Bangladesh signed in Doha on 08/05/2017.
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani also issued an Instrument of Accession approving the accession to the Charter of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
