Kuwait Oil Min.: Int'l Conf. tackles alternative renewable energy


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, July 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Oil Minister Essam Al-Marzouq expressed content on Sunday for participating in the International Oil conference and said he is looking forward to meet the ministers partaking in this conference.

In a joint statement to KUNA and Kuwait State Television, Al-Marzouq, also Minister of Electricity and Water, said he is eager to participate in this exhibition, due to kick off tomorrow, noting that a large number of Kuwaiti oil companies are also partaking in this exhibition.

The minister added the conference would focus on a number of issues on the future of energy, alternative and renewable energy, and worldwide oil companies contributions, such as Kuwait Oil Company.

The conference considered one of the biggest petroleum specialized conferences, and is expected to host more than 6,000 participants, 50 ministers, representatives of more than 100 countries, and 25,000 visitors. (end) ta.mb
