At least 35 IS militants killed in Iraq's Mosul

(MENAFN) At least 35 IS militants were murdered in a failed try to flee western Mosul, as proclaimed the Iraqi military.

Accordingly, the Iraqi army has deployed dozens of snipers along the Tigris River in an effort to end any IS attempt to attack Mosul's eastern side.

Recently, 115 IS militants were killed in an airstrike on IS convoy on the outskirts of Tal Afar city, west of Mosul.

In addition, the Iraqi military remains linked in a wide-ranging campaign, set up last Oct in co-op with a U.S.-led air coalition.
