Jordan- CDD Confirm At Least 24 Reported Cases of Sun, Heatstroke

AMMAN —AlGhad— According to a source with the Civil Defence Department (CDD) today, Monday, no less than 24 cases of heatstroke have been reported during the current heatwave, caused by excessive exposure to the sun and the dehydration of their bodies.

A heatstroke can cause death, according to the CDD source, and other medical conditions, ranging from nausea, to fainting, to exhaustion no less.

Notably, the Health Ministry issued a warning yesterday, Sunday, urging people to take precautionary measures when stepping out in the sun during the day.
