According to Turkey's Anadolu Agency, the talks mainly focused on the crisis in Syria.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Daily Sabah said that the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) is fully prepared for the operation against the Democratic Union Party (PYD), considered the extension of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Syria, adding that Russia could provide air coverage for it.

On Saturday, Presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said that Turkey would continue to take all necessary measures to protect its national security and borders.
