(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, July 2 (KUNA) -- Government of Kuwait Sunday urged Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt to extend, for 48 hours, a deadline they gave to Qatar to reply to a list of demands.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah demanded the extension until receiving Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Thani who would hand over a letter from Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, which would include Qatar's response to the list of demands conveyed by Kuwait to Doha on behalf of the four countries, the government said in a statement.
Kuwait, added the statement, was looking forward that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Egypt "accept a request to extend the deadline that was given to Qatar for another 48 hours." (end)
