Terror suspect arrested

The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad and police arrested a suspected ISIS operative in Chennai's Burma Bazaar early on Tuesday morning, according to media reports.

The suspect is identified as 30-year-old Haroon. The Rajasthan ATS claimed that he transferred funds to an ISIS cell in India. India Today reported that during the interrogation of a Mylapore resident, Mohammed Iqbal, who was arrested a few months ago over his suspected involvement with the terrorist group, it was revealed that Haroon was facilitating ISIS financial transfers and recruitment.

ANI reported that Haroon was taken to Jaipur for further questioning and investigation. His bank accounts were being scrutinized.
