4 of a family killed in Farah roadside bombing


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Four members of a family were killed when a roadside bomb ripped through their vehicle in the Pushtrod district of western Farah province, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Iqbal Bahir said the car carrying a sick person from Khaki Safid district to Farah City, the provincial capital, struck the roadside bomb in Kajgin locality late on Monday night.

The dead included two womeninfo-icon, two men while another woman was wounded in the incident. The injured woman has been taken to the hospital and her condition is said to be stable.

He added the victims were residents of Naw-i-Deh area. There has been no word yet from the insurgents about the blast.

On the other hand, the spokesman said, 11 Talibaninfo-icon fighters joined the peace process and surrendered their weapons to police in Parcham district on Monday.
