Oman- Bridgestone organises training programme for fleet managers


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Bridgestone is recognised the world over as one of the most reliable tyre manufacturers. As global leaders, Bridgestone believes in regular training to update customers on various tyre management and maintenance aspects.

Bridgestone's Truck Tyre Centre is located in Ghala industrial area to support major fleets. This facility is well equipped with the latest high-tech machinery and skilled technicians to service all customer needs.

Bridgestone conducted a two-day workshop for their fleet customers. Key areas covered in the training programme included Tyre basics, CPKM (Cost per Kilometre), Total Tyre Management Programme (TTMP), Select, Maintain, Align, Rotate, Track (SMART) techniques and benefits.

The orientation covered the need of tyre management, ways to check and contain damages, need for proper inflation and advantages. The workshop also addressed other areas like irregular wear, proper storage, retread process, etc. The attendees were also given a tour of the retread factory in Ma'abela, briefing them on the retread process. The training programme was attended by several managers, supervisors and others from major corporate with large fleets.

'Bridgestone places a great deal of importance on regular customer engagement workshops like these which turn out mutually beneficial,' said Jaishankar, general manager, Bridgestone Tyres, Towell Auto Centre (TAC).

He added, 'Apart from the advantages associated with the training, it gives us an excellent opportunity to meet and interact with our customers more often, thereby enabling us to improve our products and services.'

Key personnel from TAC and Bridgestone attended the training as well. They addressed concerns of the customers too. This workshop was immensely appreciated by all present. The expert team from Bridgestone helped them understand important factors that impact their business. Apparao Nagireddy, a customer who attended the training said, 'Due care in few areas will help achieve higher monetary savings and thereby generate better profit for the company.

'I feel that Bridgestone will give us better CPKM. The addition of retreading will be an advantage to ensure that our savings are on the higher side.'

TAC operates a retail network of 22 outlets, strategically located with an objective of getting closer to customers. TAC has a nationwide presence, covering all major territories across the sultanate. Tyre Care Plus is located in Barka, Musannah, Sohar, Saham, Jalaan Bani Bu Ali, Ibra, Sinaw, Ibri, Nizwa, Karsha, Samail, Salalah and Sur.

In Muscat, TCPs are located at Wadi Kabir, Bausher, Ghubra, Ghala, Al Khoudh and Ma'abela. First Stop stores are located in Amerat, Seeb and Muladha. Bridgestone Truck Tyre Centre is located in Ghala and Fleet Points are located at Fahud, Karsha, Nimr and Salalah.
