A written message from the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the Emir of Kuwait H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah will be handed over today by Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
The message is the reply which was prepared earlier by the State of Qatar on the demands by Saudi Arabia and other Arab allies submitted through the State of Kuwait.
The deadline imposed by Saudi and its allies for Qatar to accept their ultimatum ended last night and Foreign ministers from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain will meet in Cairo on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, US Ambassador to Kuwait, Lawrence R Silverman yesterday called for a "fair" solution to the Gulf crisis. In a statement, the diplomat reiterated the US support for Kuwaiti efforts to mediate a solution to the crisis.
He called on all parties involved in the crisis to practice self-restraint with a view to reaching a fair solution to the crisis.
