Pakistani falls from building during 'attempted burglary'

(MENAFN- Asia Times) A 32-year-old Pakistani man was found unconscious on a patio after falling from a residential building in Sham Shui Po in Kowloon on Monday.

At 4pm, the man fell from an old tenement building on 64 Un Chau Street, creating a loud noise, which alerted some residents of the building, Sing Pao Daily reported.

After police and ambulance men arrived, the man was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment as he had sustained bone fractures.

Initially, police classified the case as 'Person falling from high'. However, after an investigation, officers arrested the Pakistani for attempted burglary, as they had found a plastic bag with some clothes, two metal pliers and some aluminum foil in a corridor on the ground floor, the Oriental Daily reported.

A team of crime investigators from Sham Shui Po district is investigating the case.
