Saudi KACST to launch 600 firms, create 3.600 jobs


(MENAFN) King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Tech amid the Badir program is aiming to establish more than 600 extra firms that would make 3.600 jobs.

Accordingly, the program has incubated 127 technical projects amid its five incubators, producing a market value of USD88.26mn for 34 of these projects alone.

Additionally, some 786 jobs for young Saudis were made as a result; the program is in the process of opening new incubators in the cities of Abha, Buraida, Dammam and others.

Meanwhile, KACST is aiming to upgrade incubators and accelerators and increase activities into nine regions, in line with the kingdom's vision.
