(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW YORK, June 30 (KUNA) -- At least three people have been shot and injured in a shooting in Brox Lebanon Hospital, New York City, authorities announced on Friday, and the shooter was reportedly killed by police.
New York Police Department's Assistant Commissioner for Communication and Public Information Peter Donald said at least three people have been confirmed shot in Bronx Lebanon Hospital. The injured are being treated.
According to local CBS News, police shot dead the gunman, who was a former hospital employee. The identity of the shooter was still known.
The NYPD had warned New Yorkers to avoid the area of 1650 Grand Concourse due to reports of a shooting incident at the Bronx. (end) mao.bs
