While the siege of Qatar entered fourth week, residents of the country are still debating various aspects of the crisis as the topic of top trend on Twitter yesterday was "What good lies in the blockade".

While the hostile media outlets of boycotting countries are spreading disinformation regarding effects of blockade on Qatar, people (both nationals andexpatriates) are counting the blessings of the current siege.

Under hashtag #TheMostImportantThingInTheSiege, many people pointed out many good things happening to Qatar due to ongoing blockade by neighbouring countries. "What is the most beautiful thing in the blockade is that it has exhibited great love between Qatari people and its wise leadership," tweeted Al Ghala Al Marri.

Another citizen, Abu Ghanem noted: "We are living in freedom while their intellectuals are barred to write anything. Who is under siege now?" Abu Ghanem further wrote that the blockade had unmasked Qatar's enemies.
Another Twitter user tweeted that with the increase in rumors against Qatar and its leadership, the cohesion of people with their leader had increased.

"It increased gap between Saudi, UAE people and their governments because the blockade exposed the lies of those governments. It gave us experience to depend on ourselves,"said Al Husam

Ammar bin Khalid Al Kubaisi tweeted under the topic that the citizens of three Gulf countries were not allowed to express sympathy with Qatar. "This blockade has told the people of these Gulf countries how much free they are in their homeland."

An expatriate wrote that the blockade was promoting farming in Qatar as the country had seen the importance of self-sufficiency in food. "Now new animal, vegetable and dairy farms will be established in Qatar that is the most beautiful effect of blockade," he tweeted.

Another Qatari said: "Had the Qatar government and Qatar Airways spent billions of dollars, they would not have got such a media publicity which these countries have provided to Qatar."

A Qatari said that Qatar and Qataris had taught them lessons of morality. "This blockade also showed beautiful faces of Kuwait and Oman," he added. Another Twitterati observed that the blockade had caused opening of new maritime lines at Hamad Port and the port would soon become a hub of international and regional trade.
