(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, July 1 (Petra) –– Three missiles landed harmlessly Saturday afternoon near the Jaber border post on Jordan's northern border as Syrian air force jets targeted rebels inside Syrian territory, according to a statement issued by the General Command Headquarters of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army.
It said two rockets fell near the Civil Defence building at 14:20 pm and the third struck close to the Jaber-Ramtha road, causing no casualties or damage, but igniting a fire in the dry grass, adding that "competent crews were dealing with the incident".
