US, Turkish ministers to hold talks in Brussels


(MENAFN) On the sidelines of the defense ministers of NATO allies gathering in Brussels to debate key global problems, Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Işık was set to have chats with U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis late on June 28.

Accordingly, US official had increased Turkish anger through adding that the U.S. is likely to finance the YPG with weapons and tools even after the capture of Raqqa from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Moreover, Turkey announced that Mattis had confirmed that his country remove the weapons form ISIL.

According to the U.S. defense secretary during his flight to Germany, "We"ll do what we can".
