Ukraine accuses Russia of cyber piracy


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ROME, June 28 (KUNA) -- Ukraine on Wednesday accused Russia of being behind a wave of electronic hacking in the country and other states saying that Moscow "is assaulting democracies across the world." "Russia is behind global electronic piracy," said Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in a statement during a media forum held in Italy.

Moscow is attacking democracies throughout the world with piracy and fake news, he added, also charging the Russians with "manipulating with the Italian elections." Online attacks on the Ukraine are estimated at 78 percent as compared to other countries, followed by Italy, 10 percent, Israel five percent, Serbia two percent and one percent in Romania, the United States of America, Lithuania and Hungary.
