Kuwaiti oil barrel up 24 at USD 43.11 pb


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, June 29 (KUNA) -- The price of Kuwaiti oil barrel rose 24 cents to reach USD 43.11 per barrel on Wednesday, compared with USD 42.87 pb on Tuesday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) on Thursday.

Oil prices in international markets went up yesterday as buyers were encouraged by a drop in US crude production, shrugging off an unexpected rise in US crude stocks to 118,000 barrels last week.

The Brent crude oil rose 66 cents reaching USD 47.31 per barrel upon settlement and West Texas Intermediate went up 50 cents to reach USD 44.74 pb. (end) osj.ha
