UAE- Al Ain Insurance Company donates AED3 million to Sandooq Al Watan

ABU DHABI, 26th June, 2017 (WAM)--Al Ain Insurance company has donated AED3 million to Sandooq Al Watan, in addition to free insurance services to support the fund's strategic objectives.

The donation comes to mark the Year of Giving 2017 initiative, announced by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to support Sandooq Al Watan's stated objectives, which include building a sustainable knowledge economy and supporting local talents to innovate in the field of applied research.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed bin Juan Al Badie, Chairman of Al Ain Insurance company, and Mohamed Al Qadhi, the General Manager of Sandooq Al Watan, along with high-ranking representatives from both sides.

The parties discussed the fund's strategy and role in driving development and encouraging innovation to find solutions for future challenges. The chairman of Al Ain Insurance company announced during the meeting his personal contribution of AED1 million.

Sandooq Al Watan's agenda mirrors the government's plans for the post-oil era and the knowledge economy, which call for training a generation of innovators to place the UAE among the top 20 countries globally in terms of innovation.

The fund seeks to improve the local workforce and promote innovation in all fields. It also works to expedite the development process and involve the private sector in its efforts to encourage people to give. This social initiative reflects the cohesion between the various segments of UAE society.
