Peter Godsell is vice president of Human Resources, Ford of Europe and Middle East and Africa, a position he has held since February 2017. In this role, he is responsible for leading all human resources initiatives and service activities in the region.
Previously, Peter was director, HR Business Operations, Asia Pacific, based in Shanghai, China – a position he held since July 2016.
A citizen of the United Kingdom, Peter joined Ford Motor Company in October 1997 as a graduate trainee in Human Resources.
He has held a variety of HR positions in his more than 19 years with the company, including roles in Ford Credit, Manufacturing, Product Development, Marketing, Sales and Service and a range of other areas. Peter worked in Jaguar and Land Rover – owned by Ford at the time – based in Gaydon, UK, from 2004 to 2007, and he worked in the Ford Global HR Strategy team, based in Dearborn, Michigan, U.S., from 2007 to 2008. From 2013 to 2016, he was vice president of Human Resources, Ford ASEAN, based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Peter attended the University of Bristol and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences conferred with honors. He also is a graduate from The University of East London with a diploma in Human Resource Management and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Peter is married with three children.
