Qatar- MOI expects more than 10,000 people at Asian Town for Eid events

The Ministry of Interior is expecting more than 10,000 people at Asian Town, the venue for celebrating Eid Al Fitr.
The Ministry is organising ‘Eid Al Fitr Awareness and Cultural Celebrations' in a bid to provide a safer environment for expatriate communities' members and workers to celebrate Eid Al Fitr on 1st and 2nd days of Eid Al Fitr from 5pm to 10pm at Asian town (Car parking outside cricket stadium) in Doha Industrial area.
"We expect more than 10,000 people will for this event on each day," said a release.
Seven departments such as Traffic, Civil Defence, Community Policing, Al Fazaa Police, Permanent Committee for Drugs and Alcohol Affairs, Search and Follow Up Department and Public Relations Department from the Ministry of Interior will take part in this event with awareness programs on traffic safety, pedestrian safety, awareness messages on risks of drug abuse and mental stimulants usage, risks of carrying belonging of others when coming to Qatar without verifying its content, procedures to bring medicine to Qatar, importance of carrying ID card, risks of gathering in front of accident sites and taking pictures of accidents' victims and Qatar's custom and tradition.
Prominent communities and orchestra teams will present shows and performances. During the event, there will be opportunity for the workers of the companies and community members to showcase their talents in singing, acting, dancing and drama playing and the audience will be getting about 700 prizes through raffle draws during two days programme.
