Air embargo on Qatar: ICAO hearing session on June 30

Montreal: Minister of Transport and Communications H E Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti has praised the extension of the meeting of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to study the file of the State of Qatar on the effects due to embargo imposed by the three Gulf States on aviation security and safety.
In a statement, the Minister praised the decision of the ICAO member states to hold a hearing session on June 30 regarding Qatar's request submitted to the international organisation about the measures taken by the siege countries which would lead to harm the aviation safety.
The Minister stressed the importance of the role played by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), praising its efforts in this regard. Earlier, ICAO agreed to open a permanent office of the State of Qatar to the Organisation immediately.
