Prior to serving as Nalco's COO, Bill was President of Nalco's Asia Pacific Division, where he was responsible for Nalco's business operations in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, all of Southeast Asia, India, and Australia/New Zealand.
Bill has been a member of the American Institute of Metallurgical Engineers; the American Chemical Society; the American Chemical Council and the Sigma Xi Research Society. He holds a M.S.

Before joining Coskata, Dave most recently worked for Westmoreland Coal Company in Colorado Springs, CO. Starting in 2005, Dave acted as the CFO for the ninth largest coal producer in the USA and was responsible for all financial functions of the Company.
From 1987 to 2004, Dave worked in various capacities for Nalco. His positions included VP Corporate Finance, Treasurer, VP Finance and acting CFO. A highlight of his time with Nalco included working as the CFO VP Finance of the second largest specialty chemical supplier in the Energy Services sector, Nalco/Exxon Energy Chemicals.
Dave graduated from the University of Toronto in 1977 with a bachelors degree in Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant.
Vice President Engineering Jeff BurgardAs Vice President of Engineering, Jeff Burgard is responsible for helping drive the commercialization of Coskata's proprietary technology platform. Read More
Prior to joining Coskata, Jeff was a Senior level Engineering Director for UOP LLC, a leading international supplier and licensor of process technology, catalysts, absorbents, process plants, and consulting services to the petroleum refining, petrochemical, and gas processing industries.
Most recently, Jeff managed the worldwide design development, basic design, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of all major Process Equipment and Fabricated Systems for UOP.
Jeff holds a B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

He brings with him a long track record of success within the energy industry, specifically with creating and deploying the strategies to lead an organization through change, while managing the exemplary performance of a large and diverse team.
Prior to Coskata, James spent over 13 years with BP working across many critical functions of the company from finance and business development to communications and management. Most recently, James led the strategy team for BPs new Biofuels business where he directed a comprehensive global strategy review and delivered regional participation plans for BP to invest billions of dollars and create a leadership position in a material new corporate division.
Executive Vice President Richard E. TobeyAs Executive Vice President of Technology, Dick Tobey is responsible for driving the development and commercialization of Coskata's proprietary technology platform.
Prior to joining Coskata, Dick spent 28 years developing and commercializing new products and processes for The Dow Chemical Company within their Ion Exchange, Anti-Microbial, Pharmaceutical and Agricultural business units.
During his last 14 years at Dow, Dick was responsible for the development scale-up and manufacture of Dow's extremely successful insect control agent spinosad - a naturally occurring secondary metabolite insecticide - and winner of the 1998 EPA Green Chemistry Award.
Coskata fulfills a 30 year vision for Dick, as he has been an advocate for alternative energy since graduating from university on the heels of our nation's first energy crisis.
He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
Director Andrew PerlmanServed as a director since June 2009. Mr. Perlman serves as the Chief Executive Officer of GreatPoint Energy, which he co-founded in August 2004.
Prior to co-founding GreatPoint Energy, Mr. Perlman was a co-founder of Coatue Corporation, a microelectronics company which was purchased by Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) in June 2003, and served as its Chief Executive Officer from January 2001 to June 2003.
In 1995, Mr. Perlman founded Cignal Global Communications, a developer of voice-over data network communications, and served as its President from 1995 until its sale in 2000.
Mr. Perlman is also a director of GreatPoint Ventures, an investment firm focused on early stage commercialization of new technologies.
Director Christopher A. Helmshas served as a director since August 2012. Mr. Helms is currently the Chief Executive Officer of US Shale Energy Advisors, LLC, a firm that specializes in providing advisory services to companies on issues arising out of the emerging North American shale developments.
Previously, Mr. Helms was the Executive Vice President and Group Chief Executive Officer of NiSource, Inc., one of Americas premier regulated energy providers. In this role, Mr. Helms was responsible for a portfolio of growth projects tied to NiSource's 17,000-mile network of natural gas pipeline and storage assets.
He was responsible for all commercial/regulatory, operations and project development functions related to NiSource Gas Transmission and Storage , and instrumental in executing an aggressive growth strategy for NiSource's midstream gathering and processing businesses. Mr.

Director T. Kevin DeNicolaMr. Kevin T. DeNicola served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at KBR, Inc. from June 2008 to October 2009 and was responsible for KBR's Treasury, Accounting and Finance, Investor Relations, Tax and Internal Audit operations. Mr. DeNicola served as the Chief Financial Officer of KiOR, Inc. from November 2009 to January 2011.
He served as a Senior Vice President of Equistar Chemicals LP, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lyondell Chemical Co., since December 1, 2004. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Equistar Chemicals LP, since December 1, 2004. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Millennium Chemicals Inc.
Director Bradley J. Bellhas served as a director since September 2009. Mr. Bell most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nalco Holding Company, a position he held from November 2003 to December 2010.

Director Benoit Charpentierhas served as a director since April 2010. Mr. Charpentier is employed by energy company Total S.A. and serves as a Senior Vice President, Investments at Total Energy Ventures, S.A., a venture capital affiliate of Total S.A., a position he has held since December 2009.
From early 2005 to December 2008, Mr. Charpentier worked in the M & A Department of Finance Division with Total S.A., where he was in charge of a number of acquisitions of exploration and production companies.

Samir KaulSamir grew up in a family of engineers and doctors. Both his father and uncle were early engineers in a pioneering satellite communications company where Samir worked during his high school and college summer breaks.
However, it became clear during high school that it was biology, rather than engineering, that was his true passion. This led him to attend the University of Michigan, where he majored in biology and taught undergraduate biochemistry. He then continued on to graduate school to study biochemistry at the University of Maryland.
While at Maryland, Samir heard Craig Venter speak about the genomics revolution. Venters Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR) had recently sequenced the first complete genome (a bacterium frequently associated with influenza infections) in record time using automated, state-of-the-art technology. What would have taken weeks in graduate school now took minutes at TIGR.
Director John A. Crumhas served as a director since August 2012. Currently, Mr. Crum is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Midstates Petroleum Company, LLC.
Prior to Midstates, Mr. Crum was the Co-Chief Operating Officer and President, North America, of Apache Corp. and previously served in various positions at the company including Executive Vice President and President of Apache Canada Ltd., and Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Apache North Sea, among others.
Mr. Crum has also served in executive and management roles with Aquila Energy Resources Corporation, Pacific Enterprises Oil Company, Southland Royalty Company and Conoco.
Mr. Crum received a B.S. in petroleum engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
Scott Levin Chief Legal Officer and Secretary
Scott Levin joined Coskata in June 2012 as the company's Chief Legal Officer and Secretary. Scott is a seasoned corporate counsel and human resource executive with more than 25 years' experience in start-up, turn around and mature business environments.
Before joining Coskata, Scott was a Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Morton's Restaurant Group, Inc. (NYSE: MRT), where he was employed since 2007. Prior to that, Scott held General Counsel positions with Torex Retail Americas (a global technology solutions provider), OurHouse, Inc. (the home improvement e-commerce business for Ace Hardware Corporation) and Florists' Transworld Delivery, Inc. (FTD).
Scott also worked at Schulte Roth & Zabel, LLP in New York City where he practiced in the mergers and acquisitions, securities and finance areas from 1989 to 1996.
Richard Troyer
Richard Troyer joined Coskata in 2011 as the Chief Business Officer. Rich is responsible for managing and shaping the companys overall corporate strategy, including business development activities, marketing, communications and government affairs.
Prior to joining Coskata, Rich was a Managing Director at The Blackstone Group, where he focused on the biofuels and biochemical sectors and helped launch the firms clean technology practice, Blackstone Clean Technology Partners. While there, he was involved in the firms investments in Coskata, Rive Technology and other clean technology companies.
Rich received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Baylor University and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance and Marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Director James Kiggenhas served as a director since October 2008. Mr. Kiggen is the President of the Riverside Company, a global private equity firm. Mr Kiggen was previously a Senior Managing Director of The Blackstone Group from June 2008 to June 2012.
Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Kiggen was a Senior Vice President at AllianceBernstein LP from March 2005 to June 2008, where he created and managed a research team focused on emerging sciences and technologies and oversaw all of the firms venture investments, including cleantech companies.
Previously, Mr. Kiggen was a Managing Director at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette/CSFB from April 1998 to February 2002, where he was Director of Technology Research and an equities analyst responsible for analyzing and valuing private and public technology companies.
Mr. Kiggen began his investment career at Wellington Management Co. in 1992 and previous to that spent three years at McKinsey & Co. focusing on emerging technologies. Mr.
Director William Wiberghas served as a director since June 2006. Mr. Wiberg is a General Partner of Advanced Technology Ventures, a position he has held since August 2003. Mr. Wiberg is Advanced Technology Ventures lead partner in the clean technology sector.
Previously, Mr. Wiberg was a General Partner of Orange Ventures from May 2002 to August 2003 and spent 19 years at Lucent Technologies, including serving as the President of Lucent Technologys Cellular and PCS Wireless Networks division from 1997 to 2000.
Mr. Wiberg is also a director and serves on the compensation committees of Great Point Energy, Inc., Rive Technology, Inc. and Oasys, Inc. Additionally, he has served as a director of several other private companies. Mr. Wiberg earned a B.S. from Cornell University, an M.S. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
