(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan supreem court on Saturday announced that the first day of Shawwal would fall on Sunday, according to local media reports.
As the Shawwal moon was sighted on Saturday, Eidul Fitr will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and several countries in Europe on Sunday
In neighbouring Pakistan, the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee on Sunday called meeting sight the moon for Eidul Fitr.
Afghanistan follows the Saudi government in announcing the sighting of the Shawwl moon.
