Paramedical Courses at Kauvery Hospital


(MENAFNEditorial) Affordable job-oriented courses are the need of the hour. And especially giving a helping hand to the underprivileged in receiving vocational training and finding suitable jobs is the need of the hour.

In line with this, our community college has been offering long term courses catering to the need of the local communities in a flexible manner. The courses are skill based. Our college started in the year 1999 has seen many batches of students undergoing courses of communication and software skills.

Everybody knows the reality, that there are many underprivileged children who are not able to pursue their studies for want of financial support from their parents. Another fact is that, the field of medicine is faced with acute shortage of nurses and other paramedical professionals. Most of them gathers experience and leave the health care facilities in india for greener pastures abroad.

To fix both this problems kauvery hospital has partnered with corporation of Chennai rotary club of madras east offering job oriented paramedical courses approved by Indian medical association tamilnadu state branch. The MOU was executed between Mr.V.G.P.Ravidoss (Former Director of RCME) and Dr.Arvindan Selvaraj (ED of Kauvery Hospital) the course is provided absolutely free for corporation school students which is sponsored by rotary club of madras east, the classed are conducted in the Chennai corporation community college and hands on technical training is provided by kauvery hospital upon completion of one year diploma course, 100% percent employment is possible in any of the IMA NHB affiliated hospitals in tamilnadu. Registration in any council or getting a government job may not be possible.

The first academic year started in the year 2014 with 15 Students. Totally 10 students had appeared for examination, out of 10, 1 of our student Mrs.Amala got state first rank in dialysis department in final paramedical examination.

From 2nd Batch totally 24 students wrote examination out of 24, 8 students got state rank in different departments, the award function was held in vellore which was conducted by IMA Paramedical wing

The demand for the course has been on increase and this year the 3rd batch id successfully running with 35 students, the students are preparing well for their exam. This year also we are expecting more and more state rank in final examinations. The examination centre usually in kauvery hospital.

The invigilation will conducted by paramedical staff, the answer papers are send to IMA paramedical wing on the same day of examination.

About placement till now 5 students are placed in Kauvery laboratory service, and 2 students are placed in dialysis department. 1 student in radiology department, another 4 students are working in MSR Dental hospital which is run by RN. Dr.Ravi Selvaraj. All others are placed in various hospitals across Chennai some students gone for higher studies also.

This year also for running batch kauvery hospital is ready to take more than 10 candidates in various departments according to the year need.

Upon completion of these studies the student will be a matter of pride in which ever place, t decide to work, as they have been taught by a team of committed and excellence teacher and have been imparted excellent training in an up-to date infrastructure.
