(MENAFN) Damac Properties has inked a deal with Oman in order to develop a port in the nation"s capital city Muscat as a tourism destination.
Furthermore, the firm inked a memorandum of understanding with Oman's Tourism Development Co. (Omran) to enhance Port Sultan Qaboos.
Meanwhile, Omran aims to transform the port into an USD1bn tourism and lifestyle destination "Mina Sultan Qaboos Waterfront", involving hotels and residential housing.
Mina Sultan Qaboos Waterfront is situated in the Muttrah area of Muscat, site of a 200 year old marketplace, which is one of Oman's most visited tourist destinations.
