Rosatom purchases 49% stake in Akkuyu nuclear project


(MENAFN) Russian state-owned nuclear energy firm Rosatom approved a pact to sell a 49% stake in a giant nuclear program located in southern Turkey to Turkish investors.

According to Rosatom, the stake in the Akkuyu project was purchased for an undisclosed sum to the 3 Turkish firms Cengiz, Kolin and Kalyon, known as CKK as a consortium.

The shareholders' deal is estimated to be finalized by the end of 2017, the consortium also revealed.
