Japanese man jailed for taking video in women's toilet


(MENAFN- Asia Times) A 36-year-old Japanese accountant who dressed up as a woman to film others in the female toilet at Hong Kong International Airport was sentenced to two weeks' jail in West Kowloon Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Koyanagi Akihiko had earlier pleaded guilty to one count of accessing a computer with criminal or dishonest intent.

After arriving in Hong Kong at 6am, Akihiko changed into a black skirt, pink bra and black wig in a disabled toilet, Sing Tao Daily reported. He then went into a female toilet in Terminal One at the airport.

A 30-year-old off-duty Dragonair flight attendant called the police when as she saw Akihiko's hand and mobile phone appear under the wall of her cubicle. She told the court on Monday that Akihiko had been suspicious because he appeared muscular for a woman.

Police arrested Akihiko, who had been working in Guangzhou since he graduated, Apple Daily reported. He planned to take a coach to Guangzhou after he landed in Hong Kong.

Akihiko, who is married with children, told the court he was a transvestite and he had been reckless when he committed the crime.
