Iranian fishery production to increase by 200,000 tons by 2021


(MENAFN) The chairman of Iranian Fisheries Science Research Institute revealed that the country's annual output of fishery is set to by boosted by 200,000 tons by the end of Iran's Sixth Five-Year National Development Plan.

Additionally, the official announced an extra 400,000 tons is set to be applied to the yearly production capacity by the end of Iran's 1404 (March 2025-March 2026) Outlook Plan.

On the other hand, he added Iran will account for 1% of the world's fishery production by generating one million tons of different types of fisheries per annum.
