(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Two teams from the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) emerged victorious at the inter-collegiate competition held as part of the 7th National Business Meet, which was organised by Middle East College in their campus.
The Business Meet, now in its 7th edition, saw students from different colleges in Oman showcase their talent in various academic competitions across disciplines such as business, accounting, HR and supply chain. A total of 81 students proved their mettle in terms of academic skills and ideas.
The Modern College team comprising Marwa Harib al Jabri (leader), Maryam al Farsi, Marah al Barwani, Shatha al Wahabi and Ilham Salim al Eisri bagged the first prize, while another team from the same college comprising Safa Nasser al Outy (leader), Ramla al Lawati, Aziza al Rashdi, Wiam al Rawahi, Sumaiya al Masroori and Fatma al Kharusi came third in the quiz competition on human resources. Both teams were trained by Raihan Taqui Syed, faculty member (Management Programme) at Modern College's Department of Business and Science.
The HR competition had two rounds: HR Treasure and HR Buzz. The preliminary round consisted of 20 questions and tie breaker questions testing competency in the fundamentals of Human Resource Management and functions.
