Qatar Billiards and Snooker's Federation chief says domination of sport a result of strategy

Doha: President of the Qatar Billiards and Snooker's Federation (QBSF) Mubarak Al Khayareen (pictured), who is also the President of International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF), said that Qatar's domination of the sport reflected Qatar's prominent status and its commitment to sporting excellence, which made Doha a global capital of sports.
Al Khayareen expressed his pride at the success Qatari athletes have made in different fields and called on younger prospects in Qatar to make the most of the state's huge and unmatched support in their bid to excel in sports.
He noted that the state has provided all the capabilities needed for success. He maintained however that this can never be enough, since each individual must also put in the effort to realise their dreams. Al Kahayareen also praised the strategy placed by the country's wise leadership to develop sports in the country.
Al Khayareen also expressed his pride as a Qatari and an Arab at becoming the president of IBSF, adding that it reflected the global prominence the State of Qatar enjoys in recent years. He added that he will look to enhance cooperation and communication with all federations around the world.
He also expressed his pride at being the first Arab president of IBSF. He added that the success cannot just be attributed to him, but to the continuous successes of the State of Qatar in sports all over the world. He added that the international community now has great confidence in the ability of the State of Qatar to host global events. This was reflected in holding the general assembly of ISBF in Doha.
He said that he will continue his efforts in promoting Snooker worldwide, particularly as snooker is gaining more attention and fans with each passing day. He said that in the federation, work is focusing on restructuring the committees to make sure they achieve their objectives.
The QBSF President expressed his hope that he can repeat the success he had with the Asian federation with the IBSF. He expressed his hope that he can promote the sport worldwide and encourage every country to establish its own competition.
