Jordan- Relatively hot weather forecast over next two days

Amman, May 29 (Petra) --Temperatures on Monday are forecast to be above their seasonal average reaching 32 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern areas, during daytime and dropping to 20 at night.



According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily brief, relatively hot conditions will prevail in the hilly areas, the eastern plains and the Badia regions, while it will be hot in the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley.



Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will jump to 41 degrees sliding to 26 at night.



Temperatures are expected to drop few degrees on Tuesday, creating moderate conditions in mountainous areas and relatively hot in the plains and the Badia regions, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be westerly moderate to brisk, blowing dust at times, mainly in the eastern and southern areas, the JMD said.



On Wednesday, a further drop in mercury level is also forecast, therefore it will be moderate in most regions and relatively hot in Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley and the Gulf of Aqaba. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the eastern and southern cities, the JMD added.
