(MENAFNEditorial) May 29, 2017, DUBAI UAE: It's game on at Dubai Opera next week when the world's best squash players arrive in Dubai for the PSA Dubai World Series Finals, and in a fantastic offer organisers announced today that entry to the afternoon sessions on June 6,7, and 8 will be free for families.
Only the top eight players on the Road to Dubai standings qualified for a coveted place at the lucrative tournament, which has $160,000 on offer in both the Men's and Women's draws and will take place from June 6-10, 2017.
With the star-studded line-ups including ten players who have reached number one in the world, as well as both current world champions, the action promises to be thrilling in every session. Four matches will be played in each afternoon session during the group stage from June 6-8. The matches will commence at 3:00pm, while the evening session of play will commence at 21:30pm. The top two players in each group will progress to the semi-finals, which will take place from 21:30pm on Friday 9 June, with the finals being played at 21:30pm on Saturday 10 June.
The men's line-up includes current world number one and world champion Karim Abdel Gawad of Egypt, along with five other former world number ones; defending champion Gregory Gaultier of France; England's Nick Matthew and James Willstrop; Egypt's Mohamed Elshorbagy and Ramy Ashour. ElShorbagy will be joined by his younger brother Marwan, and Germany's Simon Rosner completes the eight.
The women's line-up is equally impressive and features current world number one and world champion Nour El Sherbini of Egypt. The field includes three former world number ones, Egypt's Raneem El Welily, England's defending champion Laura Massaro and Malaysia's eight-time world champion Nicol David. Egypt's Nouran Gohar, England's Sarah- Jane Perry and Alison Waters, and France's Camille Serme, who topped the Women's Road to Dubai standings complete the line-up.
The PSA Dubai World Series Finals tournament match schedule will be announced on Monday June 5. All of the action will be shown live on SQUASHTV (rest of world) and Eurosport Player (Europe only).
